Aerseat is a game changer
We caught up with Rebekah, our latest Aerseat trialist.
Rebekah, a wheelchair user with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome shared her experience with our latest product Aerseat, a seating product designed to enhance comfort and postural health.
Rebekah had previously struggled with finding suitable seating options and was excited to see if Aerseat had a transformative impact on her day-to-day life.
Before discovering Aerseat, Rebekah described her overall comfort and postural health as poor. She relied on a combination of seating products, including the Sedeo seating extra deep, a matrix seat cushion, a Roho seat cushion, and a small fleece in the backrest.
Despite these efforts, she constantly experienced discomfort and had to readjust her cushions frequently. Rebekah also faced challenges when socialising, as the tilt of their chair prevented her from getting close to tables.
However, after using Aerseat, Rebekah described it as a "game changer."
She experienced improved overall comfort and postural health, allowing her to sit with less tilt without feeling unstable. This enabled her to sit closer to tables when meeting friends, enhancing her social experiences. Aerseat also eliminated the need for constant cushion adjustments, providing a more comfortable and pain-free sitting experience. Additionally, Rebekah highlighted the benefits of Aerseat during travel, as it made sitting for extended periods more tolerable.
The key features and benefits of Aerseat that resonated with Rebekah included its customisable support and the ability to control the air cells through an app on her phone. She appreciated the flexibility to add support where needed and save air cells for anticipated discomfort. Rebekah also emphasised the ease of use and the wide range of options the Aerseat provided.
We asked Rebekah if she would recommend the Aerseat to another wheelchair user, and she responded with enthusiasm, stating that;
“There is nothing to lose and that it presents a brilliant opportunity for improved comfort and postural health.'“
Looking towards the future, Rebekah expressed her hope for continued advancements in seating and positioning. She believes that Aerseat's versatility and ability to be attached or detached from the wheelchair makes it an indispensable tool for wheelchair users.
Rebekah praised the thoughtfulness and user experience of Aerseat and thanked the Aergo Health for the opportunity to trial the product and the responsiveness of our team to user feedback.
Overall, the Aerseat has proven to be a valuable solution for all of our early adopters in terms of enhanced comfort, improved postural health and increased independence.
