International Women’s Day

International Women's Day is celebrated tomorrow, March 8 and it aims to focus global attention on creating a world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination.

A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, Aergo Health caught up with some of the strong, resilient and talented women who have inspired us.

Over the coming days, we will be sharing their thoughts on International Women’s Day, the women that inspire them and what they think is the best thing about being a woman.

You’ll be meeting Sarah Brisdion, mum to twins Hadley and Erica. Hadley has Cerebral Palsy and as a result Sarah is a passionate Campaigner for accessible toilet facilities (Changing Places).

We checked-in with Lucy Chillery-Watson, mum to Carmela who has LMNA-Related Congenital Muscular Dystrophy (LMNA-CMD).

Lucy and her family has raised more than £55,000 for the charity Muscular Dystrophy UK over the years by walking the equivalent of a marathon every day for a month while dressed as Wonder Woman.

Karen Watson and Kirstie Goodwin, will also be taking part.

Karen and Kirstie are co-founders of the Cerebral Palsy Adult Advice UK group on Facebook. The group has over 1,200 members and was formed 5 years, it is a safe space for adults with cerebral palsy to support each other and share advice and knowledge.

We really hope you enjoy our #IWD series over the coming days, celebrating these incredible women with us and learning more about them.

Stay tuned on our socials!
